Wild Ground activities take place primarily at Wild Hydrangea intentional community. Wild Hydrangea is a collectively owned and protected forest hugging a section of the biodiverse Locust Fork River of the Black Warrior Watershed. Lindsey Jayne became a member of Wild Hydrangea community in 2016. There are nine community members total.
We are adjacent to Common Ground Community, an intentional community started over forty years ago by folks who continue to inspire and conspire with us.
Here in Royal, we participate in yoga classes, a ukulele society, book clubs, game nights, work days, potlucks, river floats, nature walks and more. It is our intention that Wild Ground nourishes our community here as we are nourished by our community.
Neither community is open to unexpected guests. If you would like to learn about opportunities to visit the land, please reach out to us via email.
