Lydia Atkins and Lindsey Jayne Mullen are partners in the creation and operation of Wild Ground, with support and in collaboration with our surrounding community, especially Wild Hydrangea and Common Ground communities.
The Wild Hydrangea Community is located on a 120 acres of protected forest hugging a section of the biodiverse Locust Fork River of the Black Warrior Watershed. These waters were flowing before the Appalachian Mountains were uplifted about 300 million years ago. Together river and ridges have created an array of habitats for a distinctively rich diversity of life.
