What to expect from this workshop:
2 hours of a deeply soothing & inward form of restorative yoga which integrates relaxing poses and some easy meditation to relax the body and mind. The body is placed in gentle postures that are supported with cosy prop alternatives found at home while the mind is invited to slow down. Physical tension and energetic knots soften with each pose.
Gentle verbal guidance for breath and mindfulness deepen the relaxation response. Poses include light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends. All postures are enjoyed on the floor.
Deep Ecology poetry and song will be woven into each session as will teachings on the human nervous system.
This class is open to all genders and physical abilities.
No previous experience with yoga is necessary. It's basically guided mindful napping, y'all.

How to set up at home:
I know a lot really isn't simple right now, but this doesn't have to get complex. You've got this.
Props:
-Yoga mat or alternative: two towels
-Bolster alternative: a couch cushion or 2 firm pillows
-A cozy blanket to lay over you for warmth
-2 yoga blocks or alternatives: two towels (fold in half and rolled), two smaller pillows, or two similar sized books inside pillow cases
-A cloth to use as a eye pillow
-Optional & can do without: yoga strap or two cloth belts looped together
What to do:
-Ask your housemates to support you by giving you quiet time
-Find a quiet indoor place
-Create a spot on the floor the length of your body
-Place a mat or few layers of towels or something your comfortable laying on
-Gather some sacred items and create an intention alter for this session. This can be as simple as a piece of cloth and one object from nature.
-Light a candle

- Set up your space before class with all props to the side and join us in a comfortable sitting position.
